"The Asociación de investigación de las Industrias del Curtido y Anexas" is a technology center driven by the sector and with the collaboration of the municipality of Igualada, the industry department of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalonian Government), the industry department of MINER (Spanish industry and energy department), and of the European Community under the RETEX program, whose activities are focused on developing applied research projects related to the leather industry and on the distribution of analysis services, tests, and technical and environmental consultancy for different industrial sectors
